audio mine-all-mine-records Matt Lawson and Chris Dawson are North Carolina's <a href="http://www.myspace.com/ahawkintheheavens" rel="nofollow">a hawk in the heavens</a>, a two piece post-rock ensemble packing the skills of a band with twice the members. Their classic post-rock pieces bring sounds that will pleasantly hit the ears of an Explosions fan, but not in a repetitive manner. Their sound is both familiar and fresh all at once. The sparse vocals are somewhat reminiscent of the late Aereogramme.
